The Uni Knot
The Uni knot is widely used for attaching hooks, rings and swivels to the end of the line.
Step 1
Thread the eye of the hook with the line so the hook is suspended in a loop.
Step 2
Encircle the main line with the tag so another loop is formed.
Step 3
Wrap the double strand inside the loop with the tag.
Step 4
Make 4 wraps in all, leaving the tag protruding from the loop.
Step 5
Close the knot but do not pull it tight just yet
Step 6
Slide the knot down to the eye of the hook, pull it tight and trim the tag.
